Thank you for stopping by our page! Here’s a little bit about us . . .Lance was born and raised in Helena, Montana. He loves working with his hands, riding anything fast and being in the outdoors. He is a musician and a talented motocross rider. Currently Lance works as a welder.
And I am Robi. I was born and raised in Pullman, Washington. I love the fine arts, especially dance and music. But my passion is teaching and mentoring. Currently I am a housewife and personal wellness coach.
Lance and I met while attending Montana Master’s Commission in Lance’s home town of Helena. We have a different sort of love story that tends to make people laugh in disbelief. We started out absolutely not friends, grew to be good friends, then best friends. After a time, Lance decided we should get married, so he proposed. I said no! Finally, after persistent asking, I agreed. About a month after getting engaged, we decided that we should probably start dating … We were married 10 months later in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
After the wedding we moved back to my home town, Pullman. Lance took on a job as a welder and I jumped full force into geriatric care. After several years, I new I wanted to stay home and take care of the house and of Lance. We also knew we wanted to start a family soon, so I quit my job and began my new adventure as a housewife (which I love).
Currently we are extremely active in our community, church and several local non-profit organizations. We take every opportunity possible to be in the outdoors, camping, hiking, playing in the water and rock climbing. We are both very involved in mentoring the youth of the community. We are in the process of attaining our pastoral credentials and hope to be looking for a job in that field within the next year.
Lance and I both come from families that have been built through adoption and as such we have always known we would adopt. It is something that has been on my heart since I was a child and when we married, Lance agreed it was something he wanted to do as well. In December 2010, the opportunity presented itself and after much prayer, we both felt that this was where God had us. Sooner than we had anticipated, God was asking us to adopt. And so we have embarked on what will likely prove to be the biggest adventure of our lives.
This page is a place to share our journey, our joy, our fears, our frustrations and our excitement. We hope you will take the time to read our story, ask questions and get involved in the adoption community.
Blessings,
Robi Warwick
